It's been one adventure after another since Erica and Joel met in Fall 2023. We spent the next year traveling everywhere we possibly could, got married in Summer 2024 and started The Studio Shannon in Spring 2025.


Here’s what great photography means to us:


  • Stunning photos: You’re hiring a photographer because a cellphone photo isn’t enough.
  • Affordable: Many people miss out on professional-quality photos because of the price.
  • Fast: Waiting for weeks to see your photos can be agonizing. Our standard practice is to process photos immediately and send you our favorite results within 48 hours.

Erica works in merchandising and graphic design. She's been growing her interest in documenting everything since filming a video that was featured on America's Funniest Home Videos in 2012 (it is indeed a funny story).   


Joel works in journalism and has been growing his photography skills since the early 2000s, when he accidentally deleted all the photos on his family's Cybershot S70 (this is a painful lesson all photographers must learn, and thankfully he learned it at age 12) .
