It's been one adventure after another since Erica and Joel met in Fall 2023.

We spent the next year traveling everywhere we possibly could, got married in Summer 2024 and started The Studio Shannon in Spring 2025.

Joel works in journalism and has been growing his photography skills since the early 2000s, when he accidentally deleted all the photos on his family's Cybershot S70 (this is a painful lesson all photographers must learn, and thankfully he learned it at age 12) .


Erica works in merchandising and graphic design. She's been growing her interest in documenting everything since filming a video that was featured on America's Funniest Home Videos in 2012 (it is indeed a funny story).
