We had a lovely evening taking Mikayla's senior photos at an exciting new location in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. We found a spot with plenty of greenery, pretty flowers and dynamic backgrounds. Here's some examples of our favorite looks for senior photos this year!

cOOL PEOPLE IN COOL PLACES

A great, dramatic backdrop that highlights your personality is a must for senior photos! In Mikayla's case, we had plans for a rustic covered bridge backdrop — but when life threw us a curveball (in the form of a festival blocking said bridge), we improvised and found that rustic look right across the street!

The real You shines through when you're not thinking about the photo. We often reach for a striking black-and-white edit on these moments — it gives a sense of timelessness and a focus on the emotion of the moment. Whether that's joy, thoughtfulness or love, these are the moments worth remembering.

Experimental vibes

This is art! And some of our favorite photos from our own wedding were the super artistic ones that made us feel like professional models. It's fun! We're aways snapping away when we see interesting angles and reflections. And we love our manual-focus lens for that slightly surreal look.
